The National Inspection Council for Electrical Installation Contracting is a non-profit making organisation set up to protect electricity users against unsafe and unsound electrical installations. The NICEIC is supported by all sectors of the electrical industry, consumer bodies and local and central Government. The NICEIC operates as the industry's independent voluntary regulatory body on electrical safety matters and each year publishes a Roll of over 10,500 contractors that it has approved.
